sing song about ....
Yesterday after Sarah put Joseph down for a nap, she came out to Lydia. Lydia was proud of herself, telling Mommy, "I was quiet." Without being told, she knew that it was good to be quiet when Joseph's going to bed.
She likes us to make up songs for her. Sometimes we play a game where Lydia says, "Sing song about ...." and names something, usually in the room, which we have to remember or make up a song about. We "win" if the song we made up was good because Lydia will say, "Sing song about [whatever] again!"
Sometimes we'll luck out and remember an old Raffi or camp song or VBS song that will fit the request, and sometimes there's one that's close enough we can just change a few words (like, singing "The Wheels on the Bus" only replace "bus" with "car" etc.)
The more interesting requests though, are for particular situations. "Sing song about turkey sandwich." "Sing song about sour cream." "Sing song about car seat." "Sing song about my pigtail came out." Nothing that would make the top 40, but some are kind of catchy. Not enough to remember though.
